Ukiyo Paintings
Being influenced by the artists Hokusai and Hiroshige from the Edo period, Japan, I call this my Ukiyo series....a group of paintings that deal with the floating world, which can be interpreted as a state of mind or living for the moment. In these paintings I represent things that are fleeting, ephemeral, changing. Often, the “images” can have double meaning. Sometimes I incorporate handmade paper for added texture.
